Overview
Leo is an upcoming Tamil-language action film featuring Vijay as the titular character, a fearless cop who takes on a ruthless gangster played by Sanjay Dutt. The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for his previous work with Vijay in "Master" (2021). Plot
The film revolves around Leo, a brave and honest police officer assigned to bring down a notorious criminal named Raja, who is involved in drug trafficking and human trafficking. Leo seeks revenge against Raja for killing his father, who was also a cop. With the help of his girlfriend Nila, a journalist, and his senior officer Guru, Leo sets out on a mission to take down Raja. However, he faces numerous challenges, including a corrupt colleague working for Raja and Raja's army of henchmen.
Production
Leo is produced by Seven Screen Studio and The Route. The film's director, Lokesh Kanagaraj, has assembled a talented cast including Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mysskin. The action sequences are choreographed by Anbariv, known for their work in films like "KGF" (2018) and "Kaithi" (2019). Manoj Paramahamsa handles the cinematography, while Philomin Raj is in charge of editing.
Release
Leo is scheduled for release on October 19, 2023, coinciding with the Diwali festival. The film's teaser and trailer have received positive responses from fans and critics alike. The songs, especially the title track "Leo" sung by Vijay, have become chartbusters.
